From the time I was young, I loved to read and now I love to write. I am inspired by my Icelandic heritage, by folklore and mythology, and the everday adventures of life. I hope that I can share stories of Icelandic folklore, travel, and life adventures with a variety of audiences to inspire others to live life to the fullest and embrace the wonder and magic of Iceland.

Icelandic Legends and FolkTales
Work on the Icelandic Legends and Folk Tales book continues. Most of these traditional stories are not about romance and happy endings - they are about actions and consequences, reward for doing good and general life principles.
Trolls, elves, hidden folk and other mythical creatures are interwoven into the very fabric of daily life (yes, even today in 2015). The imagery is so fantastic and the imagination truly delightful. Updating these stories with a modern twist is a challenge but a labor of love and absolutely a lot of fun!
This illustration is an engraving of a man jumping after a femal elf into a precipice. It is an illustration to the Icelandic legendent of Hildur, Queen of the Elves.
